I make scrubbies and now you can too! These versatile little gems are very popular, especially at craft shows. I tend to sell out of whatever I bring. Over the past 3 years I have probably made at least 1,000 of these little 3" scrubbers. I have people come back every year looking for them. Every time I have them in my Etsy shop, they also sell very quickly. Why are these so popular? Because they work!
SCRUBBIES: HERE ARE THE TOP 8 USES FOR A SCRUBBIE ~~~
Dishes: This is my favorite go to for washing dishes. They are great little scrubbers that get in all the tough spaces. When they are dirty, just throw them in the washer to use again.
Counters: Scrubbies work great for all those stubborn stuck on items or stains. Safe on all types of counters.
Pots & pans: Scrubbies are a great way to clean your pots and pans. Safe on all pan surfaces.
Cooktops: Scrubbies are safe to use on all ceramic and other flat cooktops. They work great on regular stoves too.
Vegetables: Keep a separate scrubbie just for washing vegetables. A safe natural way to get the dirt off before using.
Bathrooms: Keep a scrubbie by the bathroom sink for a quick way to clean up toothpaste, makeup or other day to day dirt.
Walls: Scrubbies are great at getting the dirt off of your walls. Try them on your kitchen cabinets too.
Cars/Boats/RVs: Use them to wash the bugs and dirt off of your cars, boats and RVs. We have a classic car and even use them to clean the chrome on the car.

Many times you will see scrubbies that are flat or not as thick as mine. I prefer a finished product that is more thick and sponge like.

What Do You Need?
You will need the following supplies to make a scrubbie:
P Size Crochet Hook
(I like this one)
1 Yard Nylon Net
(I use this type)
1 yard of fabric cut into strips makes approximately 4 scrubbies.
Frequently Asked Questions:
- Is this knit or crochet? This is crocheted in rounds increasing for the first side and decreasing for the second side. Ties are all worked to the inside to add some body to the scrubbie.
- What kind of material is this? Scrubbies are made from Nylon Net (NOT Tulle). Tulle is a softer material and is generally used as under skirting for prom or wedding dresses or in tu tu's. Nylon net is a firmer material. I cut the materials in 1-1/2" strips and my wonderful hubby will sit and tie them together and roll them into balls for me. These tied together strips are used as the "yarn" to make the scrubbies.
- Where can you purchase Nylon Net? Most stores that sell fabric sell Nylon Net. Be sure you are purchasing Nylon Net and NOT Tulle. You can also purchase it here. I tend to watch for sales, specials or coupons to help keep the cost to a minimum.
